To provide some context…
when I talk about getting the body of your dreams, I don’t necessarily mean having a six pack!
I mean a body you’re confident walking around in a Bikini
A body which you’re confident walking around naked in.
This article will provide you with five explanations as to why you don’t yet have the body of your dreams, and by first understanding these reasons, it will allow you to identify the changes you need to make in order achieve your body transformation goals.
1. You haven’t made the Barbell your Bitch
Are you squatting your body weight for multiple reps?
Are you hip thrusting twice your body weight?
Do you know what a hip thrust is?
Are you lunging with that mother-fucker?
Are you reverse lunging?
Are you doing lunges all day long????
The chances are most of you aren’t. Because it’s scary. It’s scary to do squats, it’s scary to do all this shit. But this is the stuff that’s going to change your physique, this is the stuff that’s going to get you the body of your dreams.
So many women I know are just concerned with losing weight.
And they’ll go to any extreme to do that, whether it be extreme calorie restriction or doing shitty exercises.
Stop focusing on becoming a lighter version of yourself, start focusing on becoming a better version of yourself.
2. You are yet to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with carbs.
Here’s a quote for you…
“eat to support your training not to fill an emotional need”
People are emotional eaters.
We eat when we’re sad, we eat when we’re happy, we eat when we’re with family and friends.
But all these triggers can sometimes fuck us up.
Let’s look at this from a common-sense point of view.
I’ve worked with so many women who’ve been unhappy about their body, they want to lose weight. But when they’re happy, they eat cake?!?
To lose weight you need you need to be in a calorie deficit.
Eating cake puts you in a calorie surplus!
You can see the problem there….
Of course, it’ more complex than that!
You know what you’re doing wrong, everyone knows what they’re doing wrong.
But knowing doesn’t mean it’s going to stop and you’re going to change.
You have to make an effort!
Please get this into your head
Carbs aren’t bad.
Stop looking at anything as bad or good. The danger is in the dosage with everything!
If you’re training as hard as you should be to build muscle, drop body fat and change your body composition, you need plenty of carbs. The average woman should be eating round 120-200g carbs a day, easy.
However, I also understand that it’s a lot more difficult for you to lose weight than for me, because I eat twice as much as you.
I’m twice the size as you. If go to Maccy-D’s and eat a 500kcal muffin that’s only 16% of my total daily calorie intake, as my daily maintenance is around 3500kcals.
If your daily maintenance is 1500cal and you eat a 500cal muffin, that’s 33% of your total daily calorie allowance.
You see, life sucks for you. Life’s awesome for me 😉
This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy these things ever again though, it just means that you have to moderate and make sensible choices, and train hard.
Remember, what doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t change you.
3. Your friends are bitches.
Another reason you don’t have the body of your dreams is because you don’t get the support from your friends… because they’re bitches!
I work with a lot of ladies, and I spot a lot of trends. Its what I do for a job.
A lot of women have close friends who they’ve been friends with for a very long time.
Most of these friends don’t lift, most of these friends will never lift, but most of these friends, however, will still give you their opinion on what it is that you’re trying to do.
And what is this opinion? What are these things you’re telling you? Well, it’s things like this:
“Ah babe, you don’t wanna keep doing that: you’ll look like a man”
“Why do you have to go to the gym again? Making it so serious all the time”
“You’re looking a bit skinny”
“You’re so boring now. You never go out, you never eat shit food with us, and you’ve stopped complaining about how shit your body is because you’ve started doing something about it”
4. You follow too many idiots on Instagram
Instagram will have you believe that you can sprint out of bed with your make-up on, and you can get to the gym whenever you like, and you can eat entire jars of peanut butter every day without getting fat!
But the reality is most people on Instagram are just twats.
They just post you what they want you to see, whilst being miserable in reality.
Instagram will have you believe that this life is easy.
But it’s not.
Lifting weights is hard, eating good quality food is hard. Dealing with your twat of a mate who wants eat cake on a Saturday, is hard.
Imagine I could click my fingers and you would have the body of your dreams tomorrow:
1) you wouldn’t keep it because you wouldn’t know how the fuck you got it.
2) you wouldn’t appreciate it because you didn’t earn it!
We value the things we work hard for.
This is why a lot of lottery winners go broke after a few years, because they don’t understand the value of wealth; because they didn’t work fucking hard to get it.
5. You are not brutally honest with yourself
I heard people say a lot that they’re ‘doing everything but not getting results’.
Understand that you’re not doing everything.
And that you probably haven’t got a fucking clue what you’re doing, and you need someone to help.
You may have hormone issues, you may have thyroid issues, you may have all these things and unbalances that are going on in your body.
But the reality is you just need to work harder and be more consistent.
Understand that life’s not fair. You’re pissed off with Sally because she can eat cake on a Saturday and still looks amazing.
That’s fucking Sally, not you!
Look at your fitness goals like a game of poker..
We each get dealt different hands. Some get great hands, some get shit hands!
However, just because you get dealt a shit hand in poker doesn’t mean you can’t win the game. You can still beat someone with a better hand if you use your head.
And the funny thing about this world- when you don’t live in a dictatorship. You have the choice to do anything you want to do in life, so choose to do the right things.
Understand that this information only applies to people who want the body of their dreams.
You might not want the body of your dreams, not everybody does. That’s fine, you don’t have to listen to any of this, at all.
But just understand that “things that trigger you, usually change you”
So if you take some of this onboard; start being more honest with yourself; start smashing the barbell, you’ll thank me later.
And also understand that I’m coming at you with this because I give a shit!
I genuinely want you to have the body of your dreams, which is why you need to listen to me.
It makes me sad that most people’s confidence issues is because they are not doing anything about it, they’re not growing some balls or ovaries and making it happen.
When things offend them, most people get pissed off.
They get angry, they lash out. But they’re wasting that energy when they should be using that energy to change their life.
By all means throw your opinion at me. If you are where you want to be in your life, have the body of your dreams, have the business of your dreams and have the life of your dreams, by all means fucking come at me bro, honestly I salute you!
But I know that people who have the self-confidence, people who have actually made the choice to make changes don’t come at me because they are too busy getting shit done, and making it happen.
If that pissed you off, think about why it pissed you off.
Or maybe it didn’t and it motivated you:
